It doesn’t look like there is much appetite to get rid of the traffic lights at Memorial and 13th Avenue.
Councillor Larry Hebert originally brought the idea before his fellow lawmakers in February.
He wanted a pedestrian cross walk, in place of the lights, having them removed.
Hebert says it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now with staff recommending they keep the status quo, adding that businesses in the area prefer to keep the lights as is.
The issue will come back to City Council Monday night for discussion, which will include one citizen arguing to keep the lights.
