City councillors will be asked to fund the repairs necessary at the Thunder Bay Botanical Conservatory.
Conservatory advocate Sharon Sidlar points out the east and west wings of the facility remain closed to the public.
She says building codes have changed over time and those two wings no longer meet the standards required to allow public access.
The spokesperson for Friends of the Conservatory will be making her pitch to councillors at tonight’s budget meeting.
However Sidlar doesn’t want to put out a dollar figure on repairs preferring instead to allow city administration to decide on that.
