The city is looking to hire a integrity commissioner to investigate code of conduct complaints against members of council
Deputy City Clerk Krista Power explains it’s a position the city is required to have under provincial legislation.
It must be filled by March first of next year.
Power explains the commissioner will be independent from city administration and answer to only council.
There is no cost associated with the responsibilities just yet because, the deputy city clerk notes, applicants are being asked to tell the city what their hourly rate should be.
The city has set a deadline of November 15th for applications.
