The latest update from the Thunder Bay Art Gallery puts construction of its new facility at $24 million.
Director Sharon Godwin says with the first design phase finished, they estimate the total cost at $33M. She adds that number could change with further estimates as the process moves along. So far, the gallery has raised $2.6 million of that cost, Godwin says.
She says the designers will show city council their progress next Monday, and present a more detailed report to the public next Tuesday. You’ll have the chance to ask the architects questions about the project at the open house, which takes place at the gallery at 7 PM.
