A new $210,000 reserve tank for the water treatment plant in Rosslyn Village is a couple of months from completion.
Oliver-Paipoonge Mayor Lucy Kloosterhuis tells us once the upgrade is finished, it will effectively mean an end to the boil water advisories.
It means if anything goes wrong with the pumps, then the water reserve will be in place which to continuing supplying water to the close to 30 homes while the system is being fix.
The federal and provincial governments recently announced grants totalling $75,000 towards the project, $50,000 of which comes from the feds and $25,000 from the province.
Previous to this, the township received $135,000 from the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
