At the end of the month, Bell Canada will be asking you to reflect about your own mental health and that of total strangers.
Mary Deacon is the chair of Bell Let’s Talk and has been at the helm of the largest corporate mental health initiative since its inception eight years ago.
She tells us the focus remains on removing the stigma from mental health, but notes progress has been made every year with more and more people who are willing to talk about it.
Deacon says one of the important initiatives this year is focusing on young people by “working very closely with colleges and universities around the country.”
The 9th annual Bell Let’s Talk Day is coming up on January 30th.
Bell will donate to mental health initiatives in Canada by contributing 5¢ for every applicable text, call, tweet, social media video view and use of their Facebook frame or Snapchat filter.
