Liberal MP Bob Nault is providing a sneak peak into what we can expect from the federal government’s 2019 budget.
The Kenora-Rainy River MP says part of the focus will be addressing the skilled trades shortage across Canada.
“[I] highly anticipate in the next budget that it will be a training budget, that we’ll talk about how we need to prepare Canadians for the new economy, and believing that we’re going to have to potentially re-train ourselves a couple of times in our lifetime.”
He says just because you are in your 40’s or 50’s doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to re-train for a new job, if there is work available.
