For Current River Councillor Andrew Foulds, the top item in the 2019 city budget is a no-brainer.
Foulds tells us the over $6 million set aside for improvements to the Boulevard Lake dam have him “over the moon.”
He explains it’s a project which has been “a long time coming,” has caused him lots of frustration, and is something he has fought “very hard” for.
When it comes to paring down the proposed 2.95 per cent tax increase, the councillor is not making any commitments.
Foulds insists not every homeowner will be stuck with that increase and suggests his options are open,
He says he looks forward to the inevitable debate which will come about with each councillor trying to make their case for how high the tax hike should be.
