Four area residents face charges in what police are calling a snapshot of one month’s worth of work by Child Exploitation investigators.
Provincial Police announced today the results of a November initiative to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation on the Internet carried out by 26 police agencies in Ontario.
A total of 551 charges against 122 individuals, including 11 youth, were laid.
Arthur Rule, 68, of Kenora is facing a total of seven child pornography charges including 3 counts of possession of child pornography, 2 counts of making available child pornography, 2 counts accessing child pornography.
OPP say 31-year-old Eric MacEachern of Sioux Lookout was charged with 4 counts of possession of child pornography, 2 counts of making available child pornography and 1 count of accessing child pornography.
Police note 68-year-old Arthur Rule of Kenora was arrested on seven child pornography charges.
Two people from Thunder Bay also face child pornography charges.
Ashley Raymer, 23, of Thunder Bay: Possession of child pornography, making available child pornography, making child pornography, sexual interference and sexual assault.
Stephen Kean, 38, of Thunder Bay: Making available child pornography.
