A busy first week of the hunting season for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
Conservation officers laid 132 charges and issued another 329 against hunters in northwestern Ontario between October 13th and October 22.
More than 4,700 hunters from Ontario and the U.S. were checked.
Some of the infractions included hunters having a loaded firearm in their vehicle, not wearing hunter orange and hunting at night.
Thirty-two moose harvested illegally were also seized.
