The union representing striking nurses at the District Health Unit is starting an ad campaign to try to get public support in its dispute with management.
The 58 members of the Ontario Nurses Association have been on strike since October 16th.
Meantime, Health Minister Christine Elliott indictated the Ford government has no intention of getting involved encouraging both sides to find a negotiated settlement instead “for the benefit of all patients.”
Elliott says she knows the dispute is causing “a lot of concern for people in Thunder Bay’ and the government official are “doing what they are able to do.”
