I go through Netflix phases where I’ll binge watch something every day for a month then go a few weeks without watching a single thing. Currently, I’m on a binge phase even though I finished the series I was watching…well, I’m caught up to the new season. So last night I started checking out one of the new ‘Halloween’ themed shows that have popped up on Netflix in the last few days. I tried out the first two episodes of ‘The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell‘ which seemed kind of neat based on the trailers. It’s essentially a dark comedy cooking show. Christine McConnell makes creepy edible treats and lives in a house with some rather…raunchy…characters: a resurrected cat/mummy, a stuffed and overly amorous raccoon and a…werewolf. It was interesting but it didn’t really grab my interest the way I thought it would. I have, however, heard a LOT of great things about the new Haunting of Hill House series which premiered last week on Netflix. I’ve been cautioned to not watch it alone though as it is super creepy and disturbing! I may need to plan a tv binge night with a friend or two soon!
Check out the trailers for both shows below!
