I was reading an article on Buzzfeed today about the 19 worst nightmare events people had witnessed, bad or really weird things that people had happen to them, from car crashes to a forgotten circus elephant, there were lots. One of the worst I read was about a house cleaner who received a call to clear out an elderly ladies house as she had passed away. After the house had been packed, cleared and cleaned, the lawyers called the cleaner back to check in as they had given him the wrong address and the poor woman was returning home from the hospital to a completely empty house! Ugh! I can’t imagine how bad EVERYONE involved must have felt about that one!Check out the article yourself, here and tell me your nightmare stories in the comments below, if you feel like sharing!
In fact, I’ll share mine! My ex-wife moved into a rental house and was having a hard time getting the washing machine to drain properly. It would constantly flood the room, she even changed the machine twice before it was ascertained that it must be the drain that was the problem, not the machines themselves. Oh, and something to be aware of, the landlord of the house was adamant that the former tenants were NOT drug dealers, despite my ex-wife presenting him with plenty of examples to the contrary (people knocking on the door at all hours for example). So, the landlord came to the house with a plumber to clean out the drain that the washing machine was using, after several attempts with drain cleaner and a snake, they finally pulled the blockage out of the pipe…a bag with various ‘paraphernalia’ and some very disintegrated, um, product!
Maybe not the best comparison to the stories you’ll read in the article, but I couldn’t imagine the embarrassment that fella must have felt after basically telling someone they were crazy for thinking drug dealers could have lived in a house he owned!
